James Philip Milner (born 4 January 1986) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Manchester City and theEngland national team. He will join Liverpool on 1 July 2015 subject to passing a medical.^[4] He previously played for Leeds United,Swindon Town, Newcastle United and Aston Villa. Playing as a central midfielder with Aston Villa, Milner was named PFA Young Player of the Season and in the PFA Team of the Season for the 2009–10 Premier League season; however, after his move to Manchester City, Milner was more often utilised as a winger.^[5]

Milner's talent in football, cricket, and long-distance running was recognised at a very young age. He represented his school in these sports and played football for amateur teams from Rawdon and Horsforth. He supported Leeds United from a young age and was aseason ticket holder at the club. In 1996, he joined the Leeds United youth academy. He made his debut for the first team in 2002, aged only 16, and gained prominence as the youngest player to score in the Premier League.

Milner scored his first Premier League goal for Manchester City against Everton on 24 September 2011. Two matches later, he scored his second, against former club Aston Villa in a 4–1 win. The following week, Milner had a hand in two goals as Manchester City won the Manchester derby at Old Trafford 6–1, inflicting Manchester United's heaviest home league defeat since 1930.^[81] On 3 January 2012, Milner scored his third goal of the season, a penalty, against Liverpool. Manchester City won the match 3–0. Over the course of the 2011–12 season Milner made 26 Premier League appearances as Manchester City won the league title for the first time in 44 years.On 17 August 2010, it was reported that Aston Villa had agreed a deal with Manchester City to sell Milner subject to a medical. The deal was reported to be worth around £26 million,^[76] including a player exchange of Stephen Ireland.^[77] Milner made his debut for City on 23 August 2010 in a 3–0 home win againstLiverpool, where he set up the first goal for former Villa teammate Gareth Barry.^[78] Milner scored his first competitive goal for Manchester City in an FA Cupthird-round match at Leicester City which ended in a 2–2 draw.^[79] The Leicester match was the start of a cup run that saw Manchester City reach the 2011 FA Cup Final. Milner was an unused substitute as Manchester City beat Stoke City 1–0 to win the cup.^[80]

On 6 October 2012, Milner scored his first goal of the 2012–13 season from a free-kick to seal a 3–0 win against Sunderland.^[82] On 20 October, he received his first career red card in a 2–1 win at West Bromwich Albion.^[83] On 28 November, he scored away at Wigan Athletic in a 2–0 win for City. On 13 January 2013, he scored City's opening goal in a 2–0 away win at Arsenal, it was the first time a City player had scored away at Arsenal in the League since 2007 and City's first win in the league at Arsenal since 1975.^[84] On 8 April, he scored in the Manchester derby as City beat Manchester United 2–1 at Old Trafford.^[85]

On 10 December 2013, Milner scored the winning goal in a 3–2 win against the reigning European champions Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in theUEFA Champions League, becoming the first English player to score for Manchester City in the competition that season.^[86][87]

On 4 June 2015, Milner agreed to join Liverpool on a free transfer.

Roshi made five appearances for Apolonia in the 2006–07 season. He showed promise despite Apolonia being relegated to the Albanian First Division. Getting regular time in the first division, Roshi was crucial in helping his club gain a spot in the top two positions of the table, hence promoting the team to the Albanian Superliga.

Roshi's season in the Superliga showcased his talent, earning him call ups to the youth levels of the national team. He helped Apolonia maintain a mid-table position.

In the winter transfer period, Roshi moved to Flamurtari Vlorë. With Flamutari, Roshi helped the club win the Albanian Cup. During the qualification rounds of the UEFA Europa League, Flamurtari were matched up against Scottish side Motherwell. Roshi played well in both legs and scored a goal in the away leg despite Flamurtari being eliminated.^[2] Roshi made thirty three appearances and scored nineteen times for Flamurtari Vlorë.

At the end of the 2010–11 season, There was speculation surrounding Roshi that Belgian club Anderlecht,^[1] as well as German club 1. FC Köln, were interested in signing the Albanian. On 19 May 2011, Roshi moved to Köln on a free transfer.^[3][4] Cologne director Volker Finke stated that Roshi is a "highly talented" player with a promising future as an attacking midfielder.^[5]

Roshi has so far made twenty appearances for Köln, most of them coming off the bench as a substitute. On 5 February 2012, Roshi scored his first goal in an official match for Köln 99 seconds after coming on in the 72nd minute to give Cologne a 1–0 victory over Kaiserslautern. Köln ended its three-game losing streak and this was Köln's first victory over Kaiserslautern in over 22 years.^[6][7] Roshi also assisted a goal against Nuremberg two weeks later.

On 6 August 2012, it was announced that the 21 year-old winger was transferred on a one-year loan to FSV Frankfurt, meeting there fellow Albanian compatriot and national player Edmond Kapllani, who had joined the club a month earlier. Uwe Stöver, the sports director of FSV Frankfurt, stated that Roshi has demonstrated his qualities in the previous season in the Bundesligafor Köln and that he is convinced that Roshi's addition will bring in the offensive play of FSV Frankfurt.^[8]

Roshi has played well so far for Frankfurt and has assisted a goal against FC Erzgebirge Aue in the third game of the season. On 21 September, Roshi scored his first goal for Frankfurt against FC St.Pauli. He scored from outside the far corner of the box. On 27 April 2013, he scored the first goal in 2013, the second for Frankfurt against Dynamo Dresden, as Frankfurt won the match 3–1.

On 4 April 2014, in absence of his compatriot team-mate Edmond Kapllani due to an injury, Roshi played in the forward line and scored a goal in the 61st minute in a match against Aalen, but anyway wasn't enough as match finished in the loss 2–1.^[9] After that goal scored, Roshi was included in the Bundesliga 2 team of the week.^[10]

After had suffered from some muscular problems this season, on 8 February 2015 Roshi returned scoring in the game of the 20th week against 1. FC Nürnberg. He played in the starting line up as a striker among Mohamed Amine Aoudia and scored the opening goal for the 2–1 victory.^[11] Roshi scored again for the second time in a row in the next fixture against Red Bull Leipzigon 15 February 2015 to give his team another victory in a row with the 0–1 result.^[12]

After Roshi had been refused to extend his contract with FSV Frankfurt, on 6 June 2015 he signed as a Free agent for 3 years with Croatian First League side HNK Rijeka, which also gained the right to play in the UEFA Europa League for the next season, after the club has finished the 2014–15 season as runner-up.^[13]

In the touching black and white shot, the couple's 17-year-old son Brooklyn can be seen giving Harper a helping hand as she uses the bike without stabilisers for the first time.

Lionel Andrés "Leo" Messi Cuccittini , born 24 June 1987) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays for Spanish club FC Barcelona and the Argentina national team. He is a forward and serves as captain for Argentina.

By the age of 21, Messi had received Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year nominations. The following year, in 2009, he won his firstBallon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year awards. He followed this up by winning the inaugural FIFA Ballon d'Or in 2010, and then again in2011 and 2012. He also won the 2010–11 UEFA Best Player in Europe Award. In the 2011–12 season, Messi set the European record for most goals scored in a season with 73 goals, set the goalscoring record in a single La Liga season with 50 goals, and became the second player ever to score in six different official competitions in one season after Pedro.^[9] In February 2013 he scored his 300th Barcelona goal. On 30 March 2013, Messi scored in his 19th consecutive La Liga game, becoming the first footballer in history to net in consecutive matches against every team in a professional football league. He extended his record scoring streak to 21 consecutive league matches. In March 2014, with a hat-trick against Real Madrid, Messi became the player with the most goals and most hat-tricks in the history of El Clásico. In October 2014, Messi, aged 27, became the youngest player to score 250 goals in La Liga. In November 2014, Messi scored a hat-trick against Sevilla to reach 253 La Liga goals, becoming the all-time top scorer in La Liga. Messi helped Argentina win the 2005 FIFA U-20 World Cup, finishing as both the best player and the top scorer (with six goals). In 2006, he became the youngest Argentine to play and score in the FIFA World Cup, and won a runners-up medal at the Copa América in 2007, in which he was named young player of the tournament. In 2008, he won an Olympic Gold Medal with the Argentina Olympic football team. At the 2014 World Cup, he led Argentina to the final, winning four consecutive Man of the Match awards in the process, and received the Golden Ball award as the best player of the tournament. In 2013, SportsPro rated him the second-most marketable athlete in the world.^[10] His playing style and stature have drawn comparisons to compatriot Diego Maradona, who himself declared Messi his "successor". During Barcelona's first game of the season against Real Sociedad, Messi continued his goalscoring run with a brace in a 5–1 win at the Camp Nou. Messi added another goal from a penalty in a 3–2 win against rivals Real Madrid in the first leg of the 2012 Supercopa de España in Barcelona on 23 August.^[132] He added another brace against CA Osasuna as Barcelona came from behind away from home to beat them 2–1. On 11 November, Messi scored twice at RCD Mallorca, his 75th and 76th goals in 2012, surpassing Pelé's milestone of 75 goals (1958) in a calendar year, and moved within nine of German legend Gerd Müller's all-time Guinness World Records title.^[138] His 77th and 78th goals came against Real Zaragoza at Camp Nou which moved Messi seven goals away from the record.^[139] On 20 November, Messi scored twice at Spartak Moscow, his 79th and 80th goals of 2012 and moved to within five goals of the record.^[140] Messi continued his scoring run against Levante UD on 25 November with his 81st and 82nd goals of the year which moved him within three goals of Müller.^[141] On 1 December, Messi scored twice against Athletic Bilbao, his 83rd and 84th goals of the year, meaning he pulled to within one goal of Müller's record set in 1972. The two goals also meant Messi equaled the record for Barcelona's all time leading goalscoring record in La Liga, which was held by César Rodríguez with 190 goals.^[142] On 9 December, Messi scored twice against Real Betis, his 85th and 86th goals in 2012, surpassing Müller's milestone of 85 goals scored in a calendar year in 1972 with Bayern Munich and the German national team, as well as surpassing Rodríguez's record for most league goals for Barcelona.^[143][144] Messi sent Müller a No.10 Barcelona shirt, signed "with respect and admiration", after breaking his record.^[145] On 12 December, Messi increased his record to 88, after scoring twice against Córdoba CF in the first leg of a Copa del Rey game. On 16 December, Messi scored twice in a 4–1 Barcelona victory against Atlético Madrid, increasing his record to 90 goals.^[146] The tally found its end at 91 goals in a year after Messi scored once against Real Valladolid. FIFA, however, refuses to acknowledge the record for the most goals in a calendar year, citing verifiability issues.^[147] On 18 December 2012, it was announced that Barcelona would renew the contract of Messi, extending it until 30 June 2018.^[148] The contract was signed 7 February 2013.
